Ebony Hack
Soprano
Ebony Hack has appeared around Australia and in Italy
during the past 10 years as a freelance soprano, with
performances in opera, theater and dance productions,
concerts, appearances on radio and TV, and award winning
recording projects for film and theatre. She completed a
Bachelor of Music in voice and composition at the University
of Melbourne and studied for a year with acclaimed teacher
Maestro Fernando Bandera in Italy.
Recent roles include the Queen of the Night in “The Magic
Flute”, Leila in “The Pearl Fishers”, Donna Elvira in “Don
Giovanni”, the Starfish Princess in a children’s version of
“The Love of 3 Oranges”, and a cancer sufferer in the
community based opera “C is for Journeys”. While in Italy
she performed as soloist in the Summer Music concert at
Pallavicino Castle in Monticello D’Ongina.
Ebony has performed with a variety of choral and chamber
groups as both chorister and soloist. These include the
Heidelberg Symphony Orchestra, Melbourne Chorale Ensemble,
the Royal Philharmonic Choir, contemporary chamber ensemble
The Cydonia Project, and female a capella group The Muses.
Vocal recording projects include award winning film and
theater, as well as for Melbourne composers, hip hop and
electronica artists. Also, her compositions have been
performed by Astra Choir, the Contemporary Composers
Collective, The Muses, The Cydonia Project and in The
Reflective Space concert series.
